Firefighters Battling Suame Post Office Fire

Firefighters are battling a raging fire at the Suame Post Office in the Ashanti Region.
The fire, which started late Tuesday night, has affected 25 out of 44 shops and 192 shells within the facility.
A statement by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said the fire was reported at approximately 2346 hours, with the crew arriving at the scene a few minutes later.
Though it said the blaze has been brought under control, final extinguishment efforts are still ongoing.
“The firefighting operation was executed with the support of a combined team from Breman, Manhyia, RHQ Substation, and Mamponteng Fire Stations.”
It noted that no casualties had been recorded.
