V/R: Minimal Damage After Fire Ravaged Electric Pole- Fire Service

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has reported minimal damage after fire ravaged an electric pole carrying a transformer and high-tension cables at Setsinu in the Anloga District of the Volta Region.

A statement by the Service said the duty crew extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading further.

“Damage was minimal, affecting only a small portion of the pole.”

The statement said the incident occurred on Friday, September 5, 2025, adding that the prompt response by the Anloga Fire Station crew prevented a potential disaster.
