Fatal Accident Involving Church of Pentecost Claims One Life

A tragic accident on the Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway at Gomoa Otsew in the Central Region has resulted in the loss of one life and critical injuries to another member of the Church of Pentecost. The incident occurred when members of the church were traveling, leaving the community in mourning.

The incident involved a Man Diesel truck returning from Ivory Coast, a Toyota Coastal bus carrying over 22 Church of Pentecost members from the Tarkwa branch, and a Nissan Navara bus from Accra.

According to the driver of the truck, he was forced to swerve into a nearby bush to avoid a collision with a vehicle that illegally overtook him. Tragically, the Coastal bus then collided with the rear of the truck, leading to the unfortunate demise of one passenger and injuries to others.

Adolf Ankomah Nuamah, the Apam District Fire Commander, shared details of the accident, stating, “One person from the bus was run over. There were twenty-two people on the Coastal bus, but one died and one was seriously injured.” The injured individual is currently receiving treatment at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.
