Court Remands 20-Year-Old For “Killing” His Mother, 2 Others

The Jirapa Magistrate Court has remanded Anthony Yengbor, 20, into police custody for allegedly killing his mother, sister and landlady as well as injuring his eight-month-old nephew.

According to the Police, the incident transpired at Tampaala, a suburb of Jirapa in the Upper West region.

The four victims were sent to St Joseph’s Hospital at Jirapa where the adults were confirmed dead.

The toddler is however alive and receiving treatment at the hospital.

The suspect was arrested on August 28, 2022, and was arraigned before the court on August 30, 2022.

He has been remanded to reappear on September 19, 2022.
