Chief Imam rejects violence tag against Muslim Youths

The Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Abdul Mumin Haroun has fiercely rejected long standing opinion that Muslim youth are generally violent and for this reason, many are behind criminal activities perpetuated against innocent citizens
“A lot of people who commit crimes in Ghana have Muslims’ names but the actual fact is that they are not Muslims like many other people who also commit crime bearing Christians’ names but are not Christians”, he spoke on Kumasi-based Opemsuo FM  during One-on-One interview with host, George Opoku Mensah.
According the the respected clergy, it is therefore wrong for one to conclude that Islam is a chaotic religion at the backdrop that it founder, Prophet Mohammed is a peace loving person hence, followers of Islam are all suppose to stay in peace with other people.
“Islam means peace so our Muslims youth are not violence as people are saying”, the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Abdul Mumin Haroun stated during the Eid-dil adar celebration holiday edition of “Nkwantanan” show
