Communications Minister Donates Laptops to Parliament to Enhance Digital Operations

The Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, MP, on Monday, June 8, 2026, presented a set of laptops to Parliament to support its digital operations and modernise legislative work.

The donation was made at the Ministry’s Conference Room during a brief ceremony attended by parliamentary officials.

The Minister said the gesture forms part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to bridge the digital divide across public institutions and equip state agencies with the tools needed for efficient, paperless operations.

Parliamentary officials who received the equipment on behalf of the House expressed gratitude to the Minister for the timely support.

They assured him that the laptops would be deployed strictly for their intended purpose to enhance the work of MPs and staff.

Hon. Samuel Nartey George noted that digital transformation remains a key priority for his Ministry, and the donation to Parliament adds to ongoing initiatives aimed at improving connectivity, digital literacy, and technology adoption in government institutions.

The move is expected to help Parliament streamline processes such as committee work, research, and record-keeping as the legislature pushes for a more technology-driven approach to governance.
