Ghana’s Mpox Cases Rise to 880

Ghana has recorded a total of 880 cases of Mpox following 11 new cases, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced.
As of November 20, 2025, the country had recorded three deaths and no admission cases.
“Eleven (11) new cases recorded, bringing the total confirmed cases to 880.”
Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with someone who has the infection.

The GHS has since encouraged people to protect themselves by avoiding close contact with infected persons; washing hands often with soap and water; and avoiding regular touching of the eyes, nose and mouth.
It has also encouraged the members of the public to report to the nearest health facility when experiencing symptoms like fever, rash, headache, muscle aches, or swollen lymph nodes.
“If you notice any of these, visit the nearest health facility immediately.”
