Brigadier General Okae-Yeboah to Lead GAF Flood Mitigation Exercise

Government Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu has announced the appointment of Brigadier General Forster Okae-Yeboah to lead a new, intensive flood mitigation exercise by the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
In a Facebook post, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu described Brigadier General Okae-Yeboah, who serves as Director General, Joint Operations of the Ghana Armed Forces, as the officer tasked to head an “uncompromising, robust, and all-action” operation.
The exercise is aimed at decisively protecting residents from further flooding across affected areas.
According to the spokesperson, Brigadier General Okae-Yeboah will address the public at 11:00 a.m. this morning.
He is expected to outline the scope of the team’s operations and detail the specific steps being taken to prevent and respond to flood incidents.
The announcement comes amid concerns over seasonal flooding and the government’s push for a more coordinated and forceful response to protect lives and property.
