Bibiani Gold Stars Impose Leave On Head Coach

Struggling Premier league side Bibiani Gold Stars have forced their head coach, Micheal Osei to go on a break following their sequenced winless stint in seven games.

The decision, according to the club, is meant to afford them respite to reorganize themselves for the rest of the season.

“In this regard, it is approved for the head coach to take a short leave of absence to enable us collectively address the challenges and review existing plans for future positive results.”

According to the club, the decision is a proactive measure to restore the team back to glory.

It concluded, “We plead with our supporters to manage their confidence as we plan to restore the success of the club.”

Coach Osei took over the club when they were promoted from Division One to Premier League in August 2021 after Coach Kobina Amissah resigned.

This was after he had managed Liberty Professionals- which is now a talent-focused academy- and saved it from relegation in 2017.

The miners have had a bad run this season, having had their woes compounded on Sunday at the Dun’s Park where they were pipped 1-0 by the Nations FC. They had suffered a 3-0 loss at the hand of Aduana Stars in the preceding match week.

Out of 11 games, Gold Stars have only two wins and wriggling in the relegation zone with 11 points next to bottom. They have recorded five draws and four loses.
