Dogbe Confides In Bible Verse After Ball Defeat

Ghanaian boxer, Isaac Dogbe has resorted to a bible verse in the Old Testament after his defeat to English boxer Nick Ball.

In a Facebook post on Monday, he quoted the New International Version (NIV) of Micah 7:7 which reads, “But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me,” and expressed his gratitude to his maker.

He conceded, nonetheless, that the result was unexpected and showed appreciation to his supporters as he reflected on the fight.

“I Thank GOD for this fight. Though we didn’t get the decision, I am still grateful and Thanks to everyone who came out to support me. God Bless. See you all in 2024 when the LORD permits.”

Dogbe on Saturday, November 18 competed against Nick Ball in a WBC final eliminator for the belt currently held by Rey Vargas.

The English fighter dominated through almost all the rounds stamping the Ghanaian whom many believe was disadvantaged by his height.

The fight ended with a 116-111, 118-109, and 119-108 scores in favour of Ball
