MTN Notifies Customers About MoMo Service Disruption On Sunday

MTN subscribers have been notified about an impending disruption on its Mobile Money (MoMo) service platform.

The disruption will be experienced on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 12:00 am to 06:00 am.

In SMSs sent to customers, the company said a planned systems upgrade within the stipulated period will cause the disruptions.

It further apologised for the anticipated inconvenience.

“Y’ello Valued Customer, please be informed that there is a planned systems upgrade from 12:00 am to 06:00 am on 17/08/2025, which will result in a disruption to all services on the MoMo platform.”

“This exercise is to enhance service delivery. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause,” it added.
