Asanteman UK Ghana Branch Leads Cleanup in Honour of Otumfuo’s Birthday

As part of activities marking the birthday of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asanteman UK Ghana Branch, led by Chairperson Akosua Tiwaa, organised a cleanup exercise in Kumasi on March 7, 2025.

The exercise focused on areas around the Manhyia Palace and formed part of efforts to beautify the city in honour of the King’s milestone celebration.

Akosua Tiwaa encouraged residents of Kumasi and Ghanaians at large to prioritise cleanliness in their communities.

She also reaffirmed the group’s commitment to sanitation, stating that they would continue to clean up any dirty areas they encounter as a way of showing respect and responsibility.

“Our environment reflects who we are, and we must always keep it clean,” she said.

The Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, turned 75 on Tuesday, May 6, 2025—a significant milestone in the life and reign of the Occupant of the Golden Stool.
