Asantehene Arrives in Poland for Five-Day Official Visit

The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has arrived in Poland for a five-day working visit.
The Asantehene and his entourage arrived in Warsaw on the evening of May 27, 2026.
His Majesty was received at Warsaw Chopin Airport by Omenaa Mensah, Founder of Top Charity, and Theresah Adjei, Ghana’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic with accreditation to Poland, alongside other dignitaries.
Visit Focus
The King’s visit centres on the Top Charity Gala Auction 2026, a high-profile charity event organised by Omenaa Mensah and her husband, Rafał Brzoska.
The gala supports philanthropic projects in Ghana and assists thousands of people in Poland and beyond.
The annual gathering brings together leaders from business, art, and media around a shared commitment to responsible and effective social impact. This year, His Majesty will attend as the Guest of Honour on May 30.
The 2026 edition is structured in three chapters: the TOP CHARITY Art exhibition, the unveiling of the OmenaArt Foundation African art collection, and the Phenomenaa Gallery selection.
The programme also features large-format works in the Sculpture Garden and an exhibition as part of the Art Cat ASANTE project.
Itinerary
Ahead of the gala, the Asantehene will tour the Phenomenaa Gallery and the Orangery at Wilanów Palace.
On May 28, His Majesty is scheduled to play golf in Katowice before holding a private business meeting with Polish partners.
On May 29, he will meet the organisers of the Top Charity Gala at the Orangery of the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów.
Before the main event on May 30, His Majesty will, in the morning, host a reception for diplomats based in Poland.
His Majesty is accompanied by traditional authorities, including Daasebre Otuo Siriboe, Juabenhene, and Nana Effah Appenteng, Bompatahene.
Otumfuo is expected to depart Poland on May 31, 2026.
