Police Go After Person Behind Sampa Violence

The police have launched a manhunt for persons behind the clashes that ensued in Sampa in the Bono Region yesterday.
The chieftaincy conflict between Sammordua and Samgba Gyafla, which erupted at the Sampa main market on Sunday, 5th October 2025.
“The Bono Regional Police Command assures the public that every effort is being made to arrest all individuals involved in the disturbances,” it said in a statement.
Patrols have since been intensified in Sampa, and the situation remains calm.
It said the clash resulted in an injury to eight police officers who were caught up in the crossfire.
The injured officers were rushed to the Sampa Government Hospital for medical attention, where seven of them were treated and discharged.
One other officer, who sustained a head injury, has been referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the police say calm has been restored in the town with the enhancement of patrols.
“The Bono Regional Police Command has restored calm at Sampa.”
