ARCC Vows to Sustain Sanitation Drive as Part of Lasting Culture

The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) has pledged to sustain ongoing sanitation efforts across the region, with a focus on making cleanliness a permanent culture rather than a periodic exercise.
At the Council’s Management Meeting, progress on sanitation initiatives was reviewed and new measures outlined for long-term sustainability, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Frank Amoakohene, reported in a Facebook post.
According to the Minister, the nationwide sanitation initiative demonstrates that lasting cleanliness depends on sustained commitment, coordinated action, and active community participation.
“We will continue to build on this momentum to make sanitation a lasting culture, not a periodic exercise,” Hon. Amoakohene stated.
He commended President John Dramani Mahama for his leadership in driving the national effort toward cleaner and healthier communities.
The meeting forms part of the Regional Coordinating Council’s strategy to align local sanitation activities with the President’s broader agenda of improving environmental health and public hygiene nationwide.
The Regional Minister urged Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies, traditional authorities, and residents to sustain community involvement to ensure the gains made in the sanitation campaign are maintained across the Ashanti Region.
