Agric Ministry to Launch 42nd National Farmers’ Day Celebration on June 30

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture will officially launch the 42nd National Farmers’ Day Celebration on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

The launch will kick-start activities for this year’s national event and bring together Corporate Ghana, development partners, donor agencies, financial institutions, agribusinesses, and other key stakeholders.

For over 40 years, National Farmers’ Day has served as Ghana’s major platform for recognising the hard work, innovation, and contribution of farmers, fishermen, agricultural workers, agribusinesses, researchers, and institutions driving growth in the sector.

At the launch, the Ministry will unveil the theme for the 42nd edition, announce the host region, outline the programme of activities, and provide details on award categories and other key arrangements.

The event will also highlight sponsorship and partnership opportunities for organisations interested in supporting Ghana’s agricultural development agenda.

It is designed as a platform for stakeholders to engage directly with the Ministry and explore areas for collaboration toward a successful and impactful celebration.

The Ministry noted that as Ghana pursues sustainable agricultural growth, food security, job creation, and value addition, the role of the private sector and development partners remains critical.

It encouraged all organisations and partners to attend the launch and take advantage of engagement opportunities.

“Together, let us celebrate the individuals and institutions whose efforts continue to feed the nation and drive agricultural transformation in Ghana,” the Ministry stated.
