32 Black Galaxies Players Invited to Prampram as Monitoring Exercise Begins

The Black Galaxies are set to regroup for the first time in 2026 as the Ghana Football Association has invited 32 players to a training camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The camp, which begins on Monday, April 20, 2026, is aimed at assessing and monitoring home-based talent ahead of future international assignments.
This will be the first assembly of the home-based national team since December last year, when they played a pre-AFCON friendly against South Africa in Johannesburg.
Head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle has selected a squad heavily dominated by players currently performing well in the Ghana Premier League.
The list includes five players from league leaders Medeama SC, four from Hearts of Oak, three from Asante Kotoko, and the rest drawn from other clubs.
The technical team views the camp as an important opportunity to build a comprehensive database on home-based players and strengthen the overall squad depth.
While in Prampram, the invited players are expected to undergo intensive training sessions and participate in at least one friendly match as part of the assessment process.
This gathering comes at a crucial time as the Black Galaxies prepare for upcoming international commitments.
