NCC and VeRUA Sign MoU to Host “GHANA, MY PRIDE” Festival in November 2026

The National Commission on Culture (NCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with VeRUA, a Pan-African organisation, to collaborate on the organisation and implementation of the “GHANA, MY PRIDE” Festival.
The MoU was signed on August 12, 2026.
It establishes a framework for partnership that brings together the NCC’s institutional mandate and VeRUA’s organisational and implementation capacity.
According to the Commission, the partnership aims to promote Ghana’s ethnic groups and rich cultural heritage, strengthen national unity and social cohesion, preserve traditions, promote tourism, and attract both domestic and international investment.
The four-day festival is scheduled for November 2026. Activities planned include cultural exhibitions, conferences, performances, public celebrations, and the national and international promotion of Ghanaian culture.
Speaking on the partnership, the NCC said it looks forward to working with VeRUA and other stakeholders to make “GHANA, MY PRIDE” a powerful platform for celebrating Ghana’s cultural diversity.
The Commission noted that the festival will be used to inspire pride in Ghana’s shared heritage and to position culture as a catalyst for national unity, tourism, investment, cultural preservation and sustainable development.
