‘We’ve Sown Seed Which Will Grow into a Big Tree’ – Juabenhene on Asantehene’s Recent Trips

The Paramount Chief of Juaben Traditional Area, Nana Otuo Siriboe II, has likened Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene’s recent trips to the sowing of seeds.
Delivering a report on the recent trips to Poland and Canada to the Asanteman Council on June 29, 2026, he said the trips were not frivolous but were strategically geared towards the development of Asanteman and Ghana.
The traditional leader recounted the activities of His Majesty from the first day he left the country until his return.
On the Poland trip in particular, he said paperwork is ongoing for part of the proceeds from the Top Charity Gala, which His Majesty graced, to be allotted to the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation.
“We didn’t go there for luxury, but we have sown seeds that will grow into big trees to the benefit of Asanteman,” he said.
Meanwhile, Otumfuo received a stewardship report from Dasebre Osei Bonsu III, Asante Mamponghene, and Nana Boakye Yam Ababio, Nkwantakesehene, who were respectively appointed caretakers of Asanteman and Kumasi.
While Daasebre reported an incident-free period during his stewardship, Nkwantakesehene reported on the closure of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Accident and Emergency Centre over congestion, the suspension of the KATH CEO, and the retaliatory strike action by doctors and nurses at the facility.
He also reported the invitation of the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, over the issue.
