We Intend to Make Afia Kobi SHS a Drone Manufacturing Hub- Headmistress

The headmistress of Afia Kobi Ampem Girls’ Senior High, Emelia Denutsi, has shared with the King of the Asante Kingdom, plans to advance the second cycle institution into a drone manufacturing hub in Ghana.

The aim is to advance from remote controlling airplanes to producing drones in the country.

She is currently exploring avenues to get the Engineering students team in the school the requisite training abroad during vacations to realize this objective.

At the fourth Awukudae festival on May 7, 2025, the head teacher sought the assistance of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to make the dream a reality.

“Your Majesty your support over the years has propelled our academic excellence. The students are now able to develop aeroplanes controlled by remotes. We want to move into the manufacturing of drones and so we would request to come to you at the appropriate time to deliberate on means to send our girls abroad during vacation to learn from countries into commercial drone production. We intend to make the school a manufacturing hub that will serve the needs of the country.”

Golden Jubilee
Madam Denutsi also informed Otumfuo about the institution’s 50th Anniversary.

“We will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary this year. We will liaise with your Office for a suitable date when Your Majesty can honour the celebration.”

Felicitations
She leveraged opportunity to further extend the institution’s best wishes to His Majesty on his birthday.

“We came to wish Otumfuo well on his birthday. We pray for spiritual and physical health. We pray all he does prospers.”

The headmistress was accompanied by the District Director of Education for Atwima Kwanwoma, Mrs. Doris Ofori, the pioneering students of the school and others.
