WAEC Records 23 “Impersonation” Cases In Ongoing WASSCE

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) says it has so far recorded twenty-three (23) suspected cases of impersonation in the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

These have been recorded in 6 schools, it said.

They are Vicar trust SHS at Kasoa, St John SHS at Asante Bekwai, Winners SHS at Nkawkaw, Sunyani Business College, Morocco SHS at Nkawkaw, and Prince Boakye SHS at Nsawam.

In a breakdown, it said 3 were recorded at Vicar Trust SHS; 2 at St John SHS; 1 each at Winners SHS, Sunyani Business College and Morocco SHS; and 15 at Prince Boakye SHS.

The Council says the rise in impersonation in this year’s exam is a worrying phenomenon.
