26 New Mpox Cases Confirmed In Ghana

Ghana’s Mpox cases have shot up after 26 new cases were confirmed by the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
In a notice, the Service said the total cases stood at 328 as of August 3, 2025.
In the recent outbreak, one person has died while none of the victims are on admission, it confirmed.
As precautionary measures, the GHS has urged the public to avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of Mpox; wash hands regularly with soap and water or use hand sanitizer; use protective equipment when caring for an infected person; and avoid contact with animals that may carry the virus.
Symptoms for the Mpox include fever, headache, muscle aches, backache, swollen lymph nodes, chills, exhaustion and rash that progresses through several stages before healing.
