We Have to Name, Shame and Punish Sexual Harassers – Kwabena Agyepong

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential hopeful, Ing Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has called for stricter actions to clamp down and eradicate sexual harassment from workplaces and schools.

As a passionate advocate against the act, he demanded a name, shame and punish reprisal action against culprits.

“It is for us to rise up and speak up against these issues. Those of us who are passionate about it have to speak out. The name, shame, and punishment will set the precedent. It didn’t start today. In those days, there was no phone or internet, so they didn’t get popular. The truth is, we cannot joke with discipline and hierarchy in society.”

He believes such an action will deter others.

Speaking out against sexual harassment and other social ills, he expressed his desire to stand for the right things as a politician.

He is determined to hold on to traditional virtues even if it costs him his political career.

“I want to be an advocate for the right things to be done in this country. If it costs me politically, I don’t mind. I want to be known as someone who fought for what is good, discipline, respect and good virtues.”
