Investigation Into Suame Post Office Fire Commences

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has commenced investigations into Tuesday’s fire outbreak at the Suame Post Office.

The fire, which started late Tuesday night, has affected 25 out of 44 shops and 192 shells within the facility.

Though it said the blaze has been brought under control, final extinguishment efforts are still ongoing.

“The firefighting operation was executed with the support of a combined team from Breman, Manhyia, RHQ Substation, and Mamponteng Fire Stations.”

It noted that no casualties had been recorded.

In its statement, it said efforts were underway to establish the cause of the fire.
