Asanteman Mourns: Telecel Ghana Mourns With Asantehene
Telecel Ghana has offered its condolences to the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, as Asanteman mourns the passing of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, the Queen.
The Management of the company, led by the Chief Executive Officer, Ing Patricia Obo-Nai, paid a courtesy visit to the King on August 19, 2025, for this purpose.
In her remarks, the CEO expressed her sympathies and affirmed the relevance of their visit to condole with His Majesty.
“We recently heard the announced death of the Queen and couldn’t convey our sympathies through pen and paper. We needed to come in person.”
She affirmed the company’s unflinching support for the Kingdom in the difficult period.
“We will offer our assistance in whatever way the Manhyia Palace will require as we mourn our beloved Queen.”
While welcoming the kind gesture of the delegation, Otumfuo appreciated the visit and benevolence of the company.
His Majesty also eulogised the leader for her endless success at personal and corporate levels.
This followed her recognition as the Telecom CEO of the Year and Female CEO of the Year at the 4th Ghana CEO Vision and Awards.
“I would like to commend you on your hard work and feats. I read in the papers your recent recognition and honours.”
Otumfuo also acknowledged the roles played by the supporting staff of the company.
