GOC Forms Communications Sub-Committee to Promote Olympic Movement

The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has formed a Communications Sub-Committee to enhance its communication strategy and promote the Olympic Movement in Ghana.
The sub-committee is intended to support the GOC in restoring vibrancy, enhancing public trust, and driving visibility and engagement for Ghanaian sports.
It comprises experienced professionals in communications, sports, and media chaired by Mr Ernest Danso, 3rd Vice-President of the GOC with Mr Edwin Amankwah, a Board Member of the GOC as a member while Mr Edmund Ackom serves as a Digital Consultant.
It also includes Mr Charles Osei Asibey, President and Founder of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation (GAF) serves as the Communication Director with Kenneth Odeng Adade, Secretary-General of the Ghana Weightlifting Federation as the Press Officer.
“The GOC believes this sub-committee will play a vital role in showcasing Ghana’s sports achievements and promoting the Olympic values.”
Its mandates are:
-Lead the design, coordination, and execution of all internal and external communication activities of the GOC.
-Position the GOC leadership as credible, responsive, and forward-looking.
-Act as a liaison between the GOC and key audiences- including federations, the media,
public stakeholders, and international bodies.
-Provide technical communication support to national sports federations to enhance their
visibility and capacity.
-Promote accurate, timely, and consistent messaging on all matters related to the GOC’s goals and activities
