Ghana Reiterates Demand For Gaza Ceasefire

Ghana has reiterated its opposition to the ongoing attack on Gaza by Israel, condemning the act which has left thousands, including children, dead and several others maimed.
The West African country is demanding a two-state solution as prescribed by the UN and an end to the mass displacement of Palestinians.
A statement by the Minister for Foreign Affairs on July 22, 2025, urged safe and unfettered passage of humanitarian aid and insisted on the release of all hostages.
“As a member of the UN Human Rights Council, Ghana will continue to uphold our longstanding sacred principles of respect for the UN Charter, belief in the values of human rights, adherence to the rule-based order, and entrench our enviable reputation as a global force for peace.”
It comes after H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Sidqi Al-Habbash, the Chief Justice of Palestine, paid a visit to Ghana to deliver a message from Palestinian President, H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Abbas.
He met the Foreign Affairs Minister on July 21 in his office.
