The Suame Highway construction project has been left halfway for barely a year and the outcome has negatively affected the residents, and road users and impeded the business of Artisans along the road and in the area as a whole.

This spiked the agitated residents to stage a demonstration against the government, especially the Member of Parliament for the Suame Constituency, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu to the extent of barricading the road and restricting movement to traffic.

Speaking on Opemsuo Radio with Agudey, the MP instigated that the shortage of bitumen for the asphalt overlay led to the break in the project but not that it was totally abandoned.

The contractor promised of obtaining the product from Ivory Cost and consequently landed in town last Friday necessitating his return to the site to see the progress of the project, for this reason, the road was left hallway, he said.
