Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah Denies Defilement Allegations

The General Overseer and Founder of the Royalhouse Chapel, Most Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah has denied and thrashed allegations of defilement leveled against him by a “self-styled” fetish priest by the name Osofo Samuel Kojo Bentil Odoom.

The said fetish priest in a viral video alleged the revered Minister of the gospel engaged in sexual misconduct against a five-year-old girl nearly three decades ago, for a continuous period of five years, using her blood to build the church.

He also alleged Rev Ankrah engaged in sexual acts with choristers of the church, amongst other accusations.

In a statement issued by the General Secretary of the Church, Rev Derek Amanor, the Church characterized the allegations as “deeply troubling, purposefully destructive, and defamatory.”

He noted that the allegations are perceived as a deliberate and calculated attempt to tarnish the hard-earned reputation of the esteemed Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah, and lower him in the estimation of right-thinking members of society.

“The leadership of the church wishes to say that Royalhouse Chapel has come this far by the grace of God, hard work and sacrifices by the Apostle General and the leadership of the church.”

He continued, “Royalhouse Chapel International therefore categorically refutes the claims made in these publications and wishes to put on record that, Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah has never been involved in any of Bentil’s allegations in any shape, form or fashion either with this particular individual mentioned by Bentil or any other person(s). The allegations by this self-styled fetish priest therefore lack merit and should be treated with the contempt it deserves.”

Rev Amanor also disclosed that the church is exploring its options under the law against the accuser.
