{Pictures} Chika Ike Welcomes Baby after Controversial Pregnancy Post
Nigerian actress Chika Ike has welcomed a baby girl days after announcing her pregnancy on social media, causing a stir among her country folks.
In a Facebook post on March 6, 2025, she shared luxurious hospital pictures of herself and her baby, whose face was covered with a sticker.
She wrote, “My Baby is here ……. Welcome to the world my sunshine.”
The actress after posting her maternity pictures to bring her condition to public attention caused a stir on social media for days over the baby’s father.
Many speculated that Nigerian politician Prince Chinedu Munir Nwoko, popularly known as Ned Nwoko was the father with an accompanied rumour that Chika was going to fall as the senator’s seventh wife.
However, reacting to the speculation which had taken over the media space, Chika issued a statement calling it “lies” and emphasizing that she had no interest in polygamous marriage.
Though she felt the speculations didn’t deserve a response, the involvement of her unborn child made it prudent for the record to be straight, she noted.
“Ned isn’t the Father of my child and whoever name you might come up with later with your guessing games and like I’ve said before I’m not about to be anyone’s 7th wife! Polygamy isn’t for me.”
The actress however refused to disclose the identity of her baby’s child, affirming that it was part of her privacy.
“Keep digging and coming up with your false news. I don’t care about rumours because I understand it comes with my career choice and the only reason I’m responding to this rumour is because this is about my child. My privacy is my peace and NO ONE can unsettle me.”
