Our Roads And Bridges Are Terrible; Our Lives Are At Risk; Atimatim Taabuo Sub-Chief
The Sub-Chief (Dikro) of Atimatim Taabuo Traditional Area, Nana Appiaku II, has wailed over their terrible roads and death trap bridge linking Taabuo to Esen Community in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region.
Speaking to Opemsuo news reporter, Kwame Adu Gyamfi Kumanin, he said, due to the devastating state of their roads and the death trap bridge, all the chiefs in the Traditional Area went to their District Chief Executive, Hon. Christian Adu Poku, to take urgent actions, but no positive results have been available up to now.
Nana Appiaku II disclosed that it has been a year since their bridge linking to Esen Community became a death trap and has not received a facelift.
He stated that, armed robbers have taken advantage of their poor roads by rampantly attacking and robbing residents in the area, particularly early morning commuters.
Nana Appiaku II, called on their Member of Parliament, Hon. Owuraku Aidoo, and the Afigya Kwabre South District Chief Executive, Hon. Christian Adu Poku, to take immediate action to build their roads and the death trap bridge at Taabuo to avert any possible road carnage.
