Anthony Martial Ruled Out Of Squad For FA Cup Final

Forward Anthony Martial won’t be part of the Manchester United squad for this weekend’s FA Cup final at Wembley.

The Club made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday, May 30.

This is due to an injury he sustained during Sunday’s match against Newcastle at Old Trafford.

“The France international strained his hamstring towards the end of Sunday’s 2-1 win against Fulham at Old Trafford,” a part of the statement said.

According to the Club, assessments revealed he has a muscle tear.

As a result, the Club has ruled him out of the Wembley showdown.

The French striker has been hit with injury after injury this season and has been limited to a total of 29 appearances across all competitions.

Manchester United face Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, to compete in the Emirates FA Cup.

It’s reported to be the first time United and City will be competing in the finals for the Cup.

United defeated Brighton at the national stadium in the semi-finals, on penalties, to reach the finale.
