National Service Personnel Fully Employed in Public Service Directed to Regularise Status

The National Service Authority (NSA) has charged persons gainfully employed in the public sector and undertaking their national service to regularise their status.
They have until Friday, May 23, 2025, to voluntarily report to any of the NSA Regional Offices nationwide or the Head Office in Accra.
This warning follows the submission of the full enrolment lists of the 2024/2025 General Enrolment; 2025/2026 Nurses Enrolment; and 2025/2026 Teachers Enrolment to the Controller and Accountant General’s Department for data matching and verification.
In a statement, it said the exercise is aimed at identifying individuals who are unlawfully drawing dual income from both their employment and national service allowance in violation of the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119).
After this deadline, any individual found to have engaged in such fraudulent conduct will be subjected to strict administrative sanctions, including immediate deletion from the national service payroll, referral for prosecution, and permanent disqualification from future public service engagement.
“We urge all affected personnel to take advantage of this window to correct their records and avoid the full consequences of the law. The Ghana National Service Authority remains committed to integrity, accountability, and transparency in national service administration.”
