Chinese and Malaysian Nationals Arrested in Ghana For Suspected Cybercrime

Ten foreign nationals have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for their alleged involvement in cybercrime.

The suspects include Chinese and Malaysian nationals.

A statement by the Service said they were arrested at Weija in the Greater Accra Region with the assistance of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

Exhibits retrieved during the operation included over 800 assorted mobile phones, computers and several charging devices, the police reported.

All the exhibits have been retained for forensic analysis to aid ongoing investigations while the suspects assist investigations in police custody.
