Mahama Points to Economic Recovery, Calls for Integrity and Unity

President John Dramani Mahama has highlighted Ghana’s ongoing economic recovery, citing improvements in macroeconomic stability, a decline in inflation, and growing investor confidence.
Speaking at the Muslim Prayers and Thanksgiving Service held at the National Mosque as part of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, the President attributed the progress to prudent economic management, sacrifice, and the resilience of Ghanaians.
“While significant gains have been made, sustained effort and collective commitment remain necessary to ensure inclusive growth and shared prosperity for all citizens,” President Mahama said.
The President also called for a national reset anchored on integrity, accountability, and responsible leadership.
He urged citizens and public officials to reject corruption and embrace their shared responsibility in advancing national development.
“Meaningful transformation begins with individual action and a commitment to service,” he emphasised.
Touching on national cohesion, President Mahama highlighted Ghana’s long-standing tradition of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
He described the country’s diversity as a source of strength and called on Ghanaians to continue fostering unity across religious and ethnic lines.
According to the President, national progress depends on preserving the harmony that binds the nation together.
