Mahama Accorded Ceremonial Welcome at the Belarusian Presidential Palace

President John Dramani Mahama was today accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Belarusian Presidential Palace, setting the tone for high-level bilateral talks with President Alexander Lukashenko.
The full military honours and formal reception underscored the significance of the visit as both leaders moved swiftly into discussions focused on strengthening Ghana-Belarus relations.
The engagements culminated in the signing of three Memoranda of Understanding aimed at expanding cooperation in trade, commerce, and agriculture.
The agreements provide for the establishment of a Joint Commission for Cooperation in Trade and Economic Affairs, enhanced collaboration between the Chambers of Commerce of both countries, and cooperation in agriculture covering technology transfer, agro-processing, and food security.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Ghana’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation Mr Jehu Appiah, and Minister for Food and Agriculture Hon. Eric Opoku signed on behalf of Ghana.
