Twenty-five suspects are in the custody of the police service after they attacked and vandalized some properties at Kwahu Bepong in the Eastern Region.
The suspects are reported to have also attacked some police officers who stormed the venue to restore calm during the rampage on Sunday, the police said in a statement.
Though the police were scanty with information about the attack which took place, it has been reported that the disturbances emerged from an attempt to protect a suspect from being lynched by some youth of the community.
