Asante Kotoko Management is set to say bye-bye to two members of the Technical team, www.Opemsuo.com can confirm.
The Management of the Ghanaian giants wants to change the complexion of the current technical team for attainment of success in the years ahead.

The two-time CAF Champions League winners finished at second position in the 2020/21 season, leaving bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak to lift the Ghana Premier League trophy for the first time in eleven years.

Many Kotoko supporters were anticipating to at least punctuate the season with the MTN FA Cup as defending champions, but Kotoko was axed by Berekum Chelsea on penalties shootout at the quarter-final stage.

According to grapevine source, Kotoko Management will discontinue the services of former West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) trainer, Akakpo Patron and former Karela United’s gaffer, Johnson Smith.

Raphael Patron, who played for Asante Kotoko from 1991 to 1995 joined the club in 2017 as assistant coach and has worked under coaches Paa Kwesi Fabin, CK Akonnor and currently Kjetil Zachariassen.

Johnson Smith on the other hand joined Kotoko last two seasons after illustrious work at Karela United.
