DVLA Boss Now Confirms Receipt of OSP Invitation

The Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Neequaye Kotey, has now confirmed receipt of an invitation for questioning from the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

The confirmation came minutes after he took to social media to brand reports of his invitation as “fake” news.

According to him, the invitation was received on October 29, 2025, at 11 am and directs him to be present at the premises on October 31, 2025.

“I received a letter from the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on 29th October 2025, at 11:am. I will be available at the OSP’s office on Friday, 31st October 2025, at 11 am.”

It was widely reported that he had been invited on grounds of claims that he had rejected a GH¢4 million bribe allegedly offered to stop the rollout of the new Digitalised Vehicle Registration Plate (DP) policy.

Citing the confirmation by the OSP,  the reports said the invitation was to seek further information from the DVLA boss to verify the allegation and identify those purportedly involved in the bribery attempt.
