Government Offers Help To Traders In The Makola Fire Disaster

The Government of Ghana has promised to provide financial assistance to traders whose goods were ravaged by an inferno at Makola Market.
The Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr. Alan Kojo Kyeremateng made this known when he paid a visit to place.
He assured the traders that the Government is rallying behind them in this situation.
“The Government is rallying behind you. We are investigating the cause of the fire. What matters most to me is how to support those who were affected.”
“We are working on how to refund some capital for those whose goods were destroyed so that they can start up their business once again”, the Minister noted in a video spotted by Opemsuo.com
Fire gut a storey building at Hong-Kong at Makola in the Greater Accra region yesterday and ravaged goods worth millions of Cedis though no casualty was recorded.
The cause of the fire hasn’t yet been known.
