Get Vaccinated; Covid Still Exists – Health Expert Cautions

Martha Danso, a Public Health Nurse at the Manhyia District Hospital in Kumasi has cautioned that COVID-19 still exists and hence has advised people to get vaccinated to avoid further spread.

In an interview with Opemsuo news reporter Abenaa Brago, Mrs. Martha Danso after a five-day National Immunization Day (NID) revealed that, her outfit could not achieve its set target due to several factors including the Ramadan.

According to her, the exercise coincided with the Ramadan season for which reason most of their clients being Muslims could not participate in the exercise.

Mrs. Danso stated that the President’s decision to relieve Ghanaians of the Covid-19 restrictions is not to mean that the pandemic is over. She believes that it behoves on individuals to take their safety into their hands by taking the vaccines.

Mrs. Danso also added that, Manhyia District Hospital has plenty of COVID-19 vaccines in stock urging people who have not yet been vaccinated to come in their numbers to be vaccinated.
