Free SHS Costs More than Fee Paying System – Mahama

The former president, John Dramani Mahama, has described the free Senior High School (SHS ) as more costly than school fees paying system.

According to him, instead of relieving parents and guardians of their financial burden, it costs them more as far as free SHS is concerned.

He downplayed the double-track system and said that Ghana is going backwards as far as national development is concerned.

The former President Mahama made this statement in the Krachi Nchumuru Constituency in the Oti Region during his campaign tour ahead of the NDC presidential and parliamentary primaries on May 13, 2023.
