See 24 Stalled Projects Submitted to IMF For Resumption Of Disbursements

The Finance Minister says it has submitted 24 projects to the IMF and the Official Creditor Committee (OCC) for resumption of disbursement.

These stalled projects across the country will be accommodated under the US$250 million annual disbursement ceiling.

“The IMF and Official Creditor Committee (OCC) annual disbursement ceiling of US$250 million for official bilateral loans implies that it will take a minimum of 12 years to fully draw down on the undisbursed loans.”

“This is expected to trigger resumption of disbursements for projects on the priority list upon the signing of bilateral agreements between Ghana and creditor countries.”

According to him, this will ensure that all the priority projects get completed and commissioned by the end of 2028.
