Esereso Assemblyman Appeals For Help As Abandoned Bridge Poses Threats To Residents

The Assembly member for Esereso West Electoral Area in the Bosomtwe District, Hon. Joseph Yeboah has confirmed that Kofi Job Construction’s commencement of work on the bridge and drains has affected the community’s light poles.

According to him, the light poles have been in the area for a very long time, however, immediately after the construction of the drainage the water log area has been blocked and it resulted in danger and collapse of the poles.

Speaking with Opemsuo FM reporter Kwame Owusu Achiaw, the Assembly members stated that his outfit has consulted Electricity Company of Ghana, Bekwai branch severally but proved futile. The Constituency Vice Chairman narrated that the ECG assured them that they will come to their rescue very soon.

He urged the citizenry not to get close to the poles since it will endanger their lives and at any time could cause a very serious fire disaster. Hon. Yeboah made a passionate appeal to Bekwai ECG as a matter of urgency to come to their aid and solve the grievances.

Buttressing his point, he talked about a death trap bridge in the area which is causing more harm to the residents. He said his outfit consulted Kofi Job severally and the company complained that the government owes the company which is the reason they left the site.
