ECOWAS Heads To Converge In Accra This Weekend

The heads of states and governments from twelve Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS) will converge in Accra, the capital of Ghana, on Sunday, July 3, 2022.

They will be holding their 61st Ordinary Session which will be hosted by the Chair of the ECOWAS Authority, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, at the Kempinski Hotel.

The summit will review the current state of affairs of the three ECOWAS members who were suspended for unconstitutional changes of government including Mali, Guinea and Burkina Faso.

It will also examine and take decisions on the political, security and humanitarian situation in the sub-region.

The summit will further observe an end to the leadership of the president of Ghana on the Authority.
