EC Refused To Register My Political Party – New Force Leader
Nana Kwame Bediako, leader of the New Force Movement, revealed his unsuccessful attempt to register a political party with the Electoral Commission (EC) for the upcoming 2024 general elections during an interview on Opemsuo Radio’s Nkwantannanso with Kofi Boakye.
Despite the setback, Cheddar expressed readiness for such an outcome, citing his preparation by establishing the New Force Movement and contemplating an independent candidacy in case of rejection.
“The party we wanted to register as a political party that we sent to EC so that we are not independent, we knew they won’t accept so we got the two ready – the political party and the movement … I won’t mention the name of the political party i wanted to register.”
He clarified that the New Force Movement is not a political party and has never been registered as such.
“New force is not a registered political party, no it won’t be registered as such, it is registered as a guarantee company, that is a movement.”
He emphasized the formidable nature of New Force and its potential to effect transformative change in Ghanaian politics.
“But they should be ready, the force is big. The wind is big,” Bediako declared, signaling the momentum behind New Force despite bureaucratic setbacks.
Nana Kwame Bediako’s emergence in Ghanaian politics has been marked by intrigue, notably through his enigmatic presence on billboards across the nation. Though initially concealed behind a mask, Bediako’s identity as the face behind the campaign was revealed earlier this year, signaling a new chapter in his political journey.
He is an independent presidential candidate for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
