COCOBOD Pledges Free Inputs, PPEs for Cocoa Farmers in 2025/2026 Season

The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting cocoa farmers with the free distribution of inputs to boost productivity and protect farms from disease and pest attacks ahead of the 2025/2026 crop season.
National Coordinator of the Cocoa Disease and Pest Control (CODAPEC), Mr Abu Seidu, gave the assurance during a working visit to the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo Regions, stating that adequate provision has been made for the supply of essential chemicals across all seven cocoa-growing regions for the upcoming season.
As part of the distribution plan in the Ashanti Region, Mr Seidu announced that seven distribution centres have been approved in the Konongo District to enable farmers to have easy access to the inputs.
The package will also include the supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for farmers involved in spraying exercises.
“COBOD remains committed to supporting cocoa farmers with free distribution of inputs to boost productivity and protect farms from diseases and pest attacks,” he said.
Mr Seidu urged farmers, District Cocoa Officers, and task force members to deepen collaboration and work together to ensure the successful distribution of the inputs and PPEs in order to improve yields.
