Ati Zigi, Partey, Kudus Start For Ghana In Clash Against Angola

Ghana has released the list of names of 11 players to start the match against Angola for the first leg of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

 

The line-up excludes Jojo Wollacot who got injured during a training session on Tuesday when a goalpost fell on him.

 

Thomas Partey will wear the captain’s band while Ati Zigi guards the goalpost.

 

The rest of Ghana’s line-up for the clash includes Denis Odoi, Gideon Mensah, Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku, Edmund Addo, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus and Inaki William.

  

On reserve for substitution are Nurudeen Manaf, Patrick Kpozo, Majeed Ashimeru, Antoine Semenyo, Ransford Yeboah, Samed Salis, Joseph Painstil, Osman Bukari, Joseph Aidoo and Kingsley Schindler.

 

The game starts at 4 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi today, March 23.

 

The return fixture will be played in Luanda, the capital city of Angola on March 27 to book a slot in the tournament.
