Kwabre East No Longer Deserves ‘Bad Roads’ Tag – MP

Member of Parliament for Kwabre East, Hon. Onyina Acheampong Akwasi Gyamfi, says the constituency is gradually shedding its longstanding reputation as the “headquarters of bad roads,” thanks to significant ongoing improvements—but acknowledges there is still more to be done.

Speaking in an interview with Kofi Boakye on Nkwantannanso, the MP highlighted progress on several key road projects.

He revealed that the Fawoade to Kenyasi stretch is under heavy construction, with two layers of coating already completed and the final layer expected soon.

He also pointed to the transformation of the Nkwanta–Asonomaso–Adanwomase road, which has now been fully asphalted.

Hon. Gyamfi further cited improvements on roads from Mamponteng to Dumanafo, as well as the Wade to Ahodwo route.

He also disclosed that the roads in Sakora Wonoo have been awarded to Kofi Job Construction Railway Company Limited and other reputable contractors, who are currently on-site working on the projects.

Despite the progress, the MP admitted that financial constraints under the current administration have slowed some aspects of the road construction efforts.

He, however, reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that roads across Kwabre East are brought up to standard.
