Asantehene Celebrates Sinapi Aba’s Impact on Businesses

The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has complimented the Management and workers of Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans Limited for their contribution to the growth of small and medium businesses for the past three decades of their existence.

He observes that the savings and loans company has been a source of capital providing employment for millions of traders as well as sustaining several other businesses across the country.

“Low income earners are able to access loans from your end unlike with other banks. There are many people who now are into trading due to your operations. You have come a long way and you have contributed to improving living standards.”

His Majesty further highlighted and commended the staff and management for upholding high moral principles, policies, and values in their operations.

“Most of you have been with the company for a long time and I know that is why the company is thriving and standing tall among its competitors. You have distinguished yourself in the market as well proving loyal to your customers,” he told the Management of the company when they officially informed him about their 30th Anniversary celebration.

The management members of Sinapi Aba called on him at his office at the Manhyia Palace on Friday, March 15, 2024 to extend their felicitations on his 25th anniversary and donate towards the renovation of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

The company gave GHC70,000, as their initial contribution towards the US$10 million fund mobilization for the renovation of KATH.

Announcing the amount, the CEO, Mr Tony Fosu Gyasi said the initiative falls in line with their commitment to the welfare of women and children in the healthcare sector.

On arrangements for the 30th Anniversary, the Board Chairman, Mr Atta Antwi extended an invitation to the Palace for an event on May 30, 2024 and then informed His Majesty a day has been set aside for a golf competition, a hobby of the King, as part of events to mark the anniversary.

“We are 30 years this year and there is the need to celebrate the milestone. We humbly invite the King to our celebration slated for May 30. We have in place several events including a golf competition.”

Meanwhile, Mrs Dorothy Danso, a Board member of the company, dedicated their 30 years milestone to Asantehene, as she outlined the King’s contribution and assistance throughout the years.

“This is in honour of Otumfuo. It began under his authority and it has grown this far by his support. It is the reason we humbly seek his presence to grace our events for the anniversary.”

She also credited the commitment and hard work of staff of the company.

The delegation was made up of Mr Kwasi Atta Antwi, the new Board Chairman, the Board Member, Mrs Dorothy Danso, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tony Fosu Gyasi and others.
